An exciting tale of revenge and redemption firmly rooted in 17th century Korean history, War of the Arrows proves to be the quintessential historical epic.

On a side note, which I wasn’t able to comment in my review: why does the Australian poster / DVD cover of War of the Arrows look like this? It kind of annoys me that there’s no indication of it being a Korean movie at all. Perhaps they think sales would be reduced once a Western audience realises that it’s not a Hollywood film. That’s really disappointing, because War of the Arrows is such a good film (and also, a good Korean film) – there’s no need to “hide” where it’s from.
